Interested in leading or hosting a Home Church?

The key to a good Home Church is always leadership. Every Home Church is different because of the people who attend, who the leaders are, and where those leaders choose to place their emphasis. At Kings Church, each Home Church aligns with our "Code of Kings" and culture, yet each incorporates a different measure of the fundamental elements of worship, prayer, Bible study, accountability, fellowship, and compassion. This gives every Home Church its own distinct style and sub-culture.

Two of the key leadership positions within a home church include the home church leader and the host.

Leader — This person sets the overall culture, tone, and direction for the the home church, and typically serves as the discussion leader, too. He or she also helps raise up others within the Home Church to minister to each other and to organize group events.

Host — This person creates an environment (typically within their own home) conducive to the home church's activities and discussion times.

Becoming a Home Church leader involves training and coaching. Leaders are also expected to attend Growth Track, sign the Kings Church Partnership Agreement, and undergo a criminal record check. (These can be addressed after applying.) While these are not required of hosts, they are still recommended.
