Celebrate Recovery Charlottetown

Details

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program that helps us experience freedom and victory over the habits, hurts, and hang ups that keep us from enjoying the life God intends. You're invited to drop in and join us for any of our gatherings.

  • Tuesdays at 7 PM, downtown Charlottetown at the rental location of Central Christian Church's Central Cafe.

Who is Celebrate Recovery for?

CR is meant for anyone with any habit, hurt, or hang up. It includes participants who have anxiety, work too much, overspend, are dealing with lust or addictions (substance, behavioural, sexual, etc.), have anger issues, and more. There are stories of people overcoming struggles in all of these areas and finding freedom because of Jesus.

What Happens at Celebrate Recovery?

CR meets every Tuesday at 7 PM. It begins with a large group service for worship and teaching. Afterward, there are optional “open share” groups that meet about specific areas of struggle. And it wraps up with a great time of food and fellowship.

Does CR provide counselling?

CR is a place where people support one another, but it is not designed to be a counselling service. The leaders are not licensed counsellors, psychologists, or therapists, nor are the members. It is up to the participants to set up any outside counselling when they’re ready.

Steps & Principles

Celebrate Recovery is a Biblically-based 12-step recovery program that celebrates the freedom offered through Jesus. You can read about the 12 steps at https://www.celebraterecovery.ca/12-step-program.

The eight principles of CR are drawn from the words of Jesus in Matthew 5. You can find these principles at https://www.celebraterecovery.ca/cr-tools/8-recovery-principles

Small Group Guidelines

The Groups of CR are meant to be a safe place during the recovery journey. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. You can read the group guidelines at https://www.celebraterecovery.ca/group-guidelines.
